Governor announces $15 million grant for new VA nursing home
PELL CITY — A packed house of veterans, local leadership and state officials dignitaries visited Jefferson State Community College’s Pell City campus Wednesday to hear Gov. Bob Riley announce a $15 million grant that will allow construction to begin this year on a Veterans Affairs nursing home, to be built on campus, adjacent to the new St. Vincent’s St. Clair Hospital.
